Dr. Frank J. Yuk was born in Seoul, South Korea, but grew up in New Jersey.

He went to college at The Johns Hopkins University. He then went on to medical school at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his internship and residency in neurosurgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He was chief resident of neurosurgery during that time. He went on to complete an enfolded spine fellowship in complex adult spine surgery, specializing in minimally invasive techniques, including motion preservation surgery. After residency, he completed a second fellowship in orthopedic adult spine and pediatric scoliosis at The Hospital for Special Surgery. During his fellowship, Dr. Yuk also trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute.

Dr. Yuk is an expert is all spinal procedures and offers a wide range of procedures. He has a special interest in motion preservation surgery, pediatric scoliosis, and complex revision adult deformity.

Dr. Yuk is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery for the Indiana University Health System Department of Neurosurgery.
